If you are looking for a flashlight that has a unique design when compared to most of the lights on the market, then you should check out ICON’s line of flashlights designed by Paul Kim.
The Rogue and Modus line of flashlights feature a unique open architecture that serves two purposes:
1) It allows the lights to dissipate heat very effectively.
2) It helps provide a secure grip.
The Rogue series consists of two different models each in one of three different colors:
The Rogue 1 features a 4.5″ aluminum body and runs on a single AA battery. Two different output levels (6 & 50 lumens) are accessed via the tailcap “clickie” button.

The Rogue 2 features a 6.5″ aluminum body and runs on 2 AA batteries. It also features two output levels (10 & 100 lumens) and a tailcap “clickie” switch.

The Modus series consists of two different flashlights:
The Modus 1 has a 4″ high-strength polymer body, a TIR (total internal reflection) lens, and runs on a single AA battery. It also features two different output levels.
The Modus 2 has a 6″ polymer body, a total internal reflection lens, two different output modes, and runs on two AA batteries.
Next up is the ICON Solo. It is designed as a penlight and features a secure pocket clip. The 5.5″ aluminum body is titanium grey and holds 2 AAA batteries. Once again two different output levels (2 & 16 lumens) are available.
Next is the ICON Link. It is called the Link because it features a built-in non-load bearing carabiner link. The 4″ orange body is aluminum and holds a single AA battery. Both a TIR lens and two output levels are included.
Finally we get to the Irix headlamp series which consists of two different models.
The Irix runs on one AA battery and features 5 LED’s that emit light from 5 to 35 lumens. It has a range of up to 98 feet.
The Irix II also runs on one AA battery and features 5 LED’s. However, the LED’s emit from 5 to 50 lumens of light, and the range is reduced to 49 feet.
